TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM

WHAT IS THE NEW TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM?

The Traffic Light System (also known as The Covid Protection Framework) is the NZ government's latest approach to dealing with Covid-19 in the community. This comes into effect from 11:59pm on Thursday 2nd December 2021. See more about this at the 'Covid-19 Protection Framework' button below.

WHAT DOES THE NEW TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM MEAN FOR LIMELIGHT?

In the Red or Orange settings, for us to be able to open we will need to be using Covid Vaccine Passes (CVC's). This means from December 3rd 2021, to be able to enter the Limelight premises all people 12yrs 3months and over will need to supply their Covid-19 Vaccine Pass for us to scan showing that they are fully vaccinated. All kids under 12 yrs 3 months can continue to attend as normal currently. This allows students, who turn 12, a 3 month grace period (as per the government guidelines) to get fully vaccinated so they can continue to attend classes at the studio.

WHAT IS MY VACCINE PASS?

My Vaccine Pass is an official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status for use in Aotearoa New Zealand. You can learn more about this here.

HOW IS LIMELIGHT VERIFYING VACCINE PASSES?

We have two options here!

1. You can verify in advance!

  • The MOH has confirmed to ExerciseNZ that passes can now be emailed in as long as we verify this in the normal way (via the NZ Pass Verifier App), only store the expiry date of the pass and then delete the email. It is our policy to verify everyone's pass and we confirm we will follow these rules if you choose to email your pass in.

2. You can verify at reception!

  • When you enter the studio from Friday 3rd December you will need to present your vaccine pass at reception. Our team will verify your MyVaccine Pass and we will enter this along with the expiry date into our membership database.

Please Note: In both cases we will ask your permission to store this information (vaccine status and expiry date) on our membership database. If you allow us, we will then not need to rescan until the expiry of your pass. If you do not wish for this information to be noted on our system, you will have to scan it at reception every time you enter the building.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO BE VACCINATED?

If you do not wish to be vaccinated you may continue to attend class via Zoom during the Red and Orange settings of the Traffic Light System. We will reassess this periodically and will update on any changes via email and our website.

DOES LIMELIGHT REQUIRE STAFF TO BE VACCINATED?

Yes, the Government has mandated this for our industry as part of the Covid-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).

DOES LIMELIGHT SUPPORT THE COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME?

Yes! Our priority remains to deliver exceptional classes in a safe environment. We support the vaccination programme as a way of protecting you, your friends, whānau and the wider Aotearoa NZ community. If you would like to book your vaccination or find out more BookMyVaccine is the way to go!

LIMELIGHT PROTOCOLS

What safety measures are in place at Limelight?
Updated: 9 March 2022

Limelight Dance Studios will be adhering to all government guidelines in addition to our own protocols. Learn more about this below.

CAPACITY LIMITS

MASK WEARING - RED SETTING

Capacity Limit rules mean you can either have 100 people OR spacing that allows 1m2 per person (whichever is lower) per defined space. Please note: This is not a social distancing rule anymore. Exercise NZ states "This does not mean that customers must stay 1 metre at all times" but we encourage it where it is possible.

In the Orange setting there are no capacity limits.

LIMELIGHT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Masks are not mandatory while dancing but are welcome! Masks must be worn whenever you are not dancing (e.g. entering/exiting, sitting in our waiting area etc.). Staff will also be following these guidelines and will be wearing a medical grade mask.

HYGIENE/CLEANING

All people (over 12yrs 3months) who enter the Limelight studios must be fully vaccinated and this will be verified using the NZ Pass Verifier app.

In addition, you must be able to answer all health questions outlined below.

  1. Have you personally been diagnosed with Covid-19?

  2. Are you in contact with anyone that has been diagnosed with Covid-19 ?

  3. Are you displaying any symptoms of Covid-19?

  4. Are you in contact with anyone that is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19?

If you answered YES to any question then we ask that you please do not come to Limelight Dance Studios until you have completed the self-isolation requirement or been tested for COVID19.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

  • Handwashing or sanitizer required on entry to & exit from the studio (teachers & students). This will be provided throughout the studio

  • Everyone must sign in with the Covid-19 Tracer app or on the contact tracing document located at the front entrance

  • All commonly used areas, surfaces, handles, touch points will be cleaned & sanitized regularly. Barres will be wiped after every use.

  • We will be taking roles in class to ensure accurate contact tracing if the need arises.

  • We continue to ask all students to practice good hygiene such as washing your hands and coughing/sneezing into your elbow or a tissue that needs to be put immediately into the bin before you re-wash or re-sanitise your hands.

  • Please ensure your drink bottles and uniform are named and ensure you don’t leave belongings in the studio overnight.

  • We will be asking all parents/caregivers and siblings who are not actually dancing, where it is possible, to refrain from entering the studio. Please drop your kids off and leave where possible. This is to ensure we stay inside our capacity limit.

  • Social Distancing is no longer a requirement to opening but we will be encouraging it where possible. However, partner work (incl. Ballroom & Latin private lessons) is allowed to recommence as normal based on the information provided from Exercise NZ as at 29/11/21 (exercise NZ guidelines can be read here). If you wish to remain contactless, we completely respect this, please let us know either in class or via email and we will pass this on to relevant teachers.
